The Tupinamba brand was founded in 1897 in the heart of modernist Barcelona. At that time, drinking coffee outside the home was a novelty. Tupinamba was the first to open its own chain of cafés, serving its own coffee made from beans sourced from various countries but packaged in Tupinamba’s own packaging.

Throughout Tupinamba’s history, coffee quality and consistent flavor have been a priority, and the brand also places emphasis on expanding and building its presence outside of Spain.

A balanced blend, though composed of fewer coffee varieties in a ratio of 70% Arabica and 30% Robusta: a more distinctive coffee with a touch of Robusta from Uganda and Vietnam and Brazilian Arabica; naturally processed (dry method) coffee beans dominate, resulting in a very pleasant freshness and a finer grind. This coffee is ideal for use in automatic coffee machines, allowing for easy grinder adjustment and a lighter roast, which also reduces maintenance requirements.
